Log Arches
LogRite log arches are the most effective, ergonomic and useful tools for low impact forestry, arborist and portable sawmill applications. Log arches allow for low impact operations in sensitive areas, minimal ground disturbance and clean logs for portable sawmilling. LogRite continues to lead the industry for design and development of state of the art, progressive equipment for selective harvesting, thinning, log and material handling for forest landowners, arborists and sawyers.
These arches have narrower frames and tires to keep the arches small and light enough to be used by hand. While being designed for hand use, they are solidly built to totally suspend logs up to 1000 and 1800 pounds. Totally suspending the log makes it easier to maneuver and carry logs. Best suited for logs up to 22″ in diameter, up to 16 ft long and up to 1800 pounds.
Junior is an essential tool for back-saving tasks. It can lift and transport straight log sections ranging from 4″ to 16″ in diameter, weighing up to 1000 pounds. Junior can even suspend a 16′ log by grasping its midpoint. When Junior is applied at the log’s midpoint, all the log’s weight rests on the wheels, making it effortless to move, rotate, or position the log. Junior is great for bunching up groups of smaller logs or turning and positioning logs in nearly any situation.
The LogRite Buck Arch is a big version of the Junior. It is as easy to use as the Junior but offers more log capacity and features. The Buck Arch is best suited for level ground in urban areas or around the sawmill. Offered in two configurations to meet everyone’s needs: Hand Mode and Tow Mode. In hand mode, the Buck uses 25″ tongs and a 5′ handle to lift and suspend a log. In tow mode, the Buck arch uses a 2-speed 2500 lbs hand winch with 1/4″ cable to lift and suspend the log. The weight capacity for the arch is 1800 pounds.
These arches are professional-grade for everyday use but are budget-friendly enough for the occasional use by the sawyer, rancher or homesteader. Their wider and robust frames are perfect for winching and towing, with the capability to fully suspend logs weighing up to 2,000 pounds. They can effectively handle logs with a diameter of up to 25 inches.
The ATV arch is a durable, lightweight arch designed for transporting logs. It’s user-friendly, allowing one person to operate it easily. This versatile arch can be attached to an ATV, UTV, tractor, or truck. The ATV arch boasts an effective “reach” of 5 feet, enabling it to lift logs measuring up to 10 feet in length from their center or drag the tail end of longer logs. It also efficiently hauls logs that are 20 feet or more, with minimal tail drag. For moving longer logs without causing any disturbance, the Junior, Buck, or Fetching arches can be employed as a tag axle to completely suspend the log.
LogRite’s most versatile arch in the 2-foot diameter and 1-ton category! The Fetching Arch is engineered to handle heavy loads on steep inclines or delicate areas where wheeled vehicles like ATVs or tractors cannot operate. When navigating steep slopes, the 25-inch tongs will elevate the log as soon as a pull is applied to the handle from a winch line or drag line. This toggling or over-centering action effectively lifts the log off the ground, directing it towards the line pull. On more gentle terrain, simply pull the handle down first to raise the log, then carry it along. The Fetching Arch has options to add a two-man handle or a tow tongue and winch adding to its versatility.
